Work Life Balance as a topic has come to the fore in contemporary human resource management debates. The world of work has changed and particularly in the recent economic climate employees are increasingly having to juggle responsibilities at home and in the work place with CIPD (2009) research indicating that when employees are asked about work, the two concerns that emerge most frequently are long hours and work intensity.
