This research set out to clarify the role of the organization in relation to training and development. The areas of training that were concentrated on for this research included, the purpose of training and development policies, the process of training analysis in relation to the organization and planning and conducting the training. Finally the evaluation and monitoring of training and development and the input of the manger was analyzed. The literature of authors and theorists in the area of training and development was discussed and analyzed.
The research methodology was the next logical progression within the research; the self administered questionnaire was chosen as the research instrument. The results of the survey are presented and discussed in relation to the aspects of training and development.
From the findings, the conclusion and recommendations are made, to enhance training policies within organizations.
