Throughout this project I will explore the concept of differentiation and how a firm might achieve a sustainable competitive advantage by using personalisation as a means to differentiate. Having proved the personalisation to be the perfect vehicle for differentiation I will show how emerging technology i.e. The Internet and the world wide web, have enabled firms to differentiate to levels which would not have been thought possible a few years ago.
