Abstract

The premise of this paper is simple: through an example from a successful initiative in a small to medium sized enterprise, demonstrate that open environment-based, enterprise level e-learning works in small to medium sized enterprises.

Ths paper proposes:
(1) a process for implementing an environment for authoring elearning courses using a combination of the I3D instructional design and Multimedia based Instructional design approaches, Rapid eLearning content development methodology, relying mainly on open software and web standards, in a small to meduim size enterprise, as well as (2) identifying the process for developing a successful implementation of such a project.
