The title of this dissertation is competition in the Irish banking marketplace. In this research project the author researches the degree of competition between the retail banks operating in the Irish market. The competitiveness of the rates offered by the retail banks and other forms of competition are examined.
The author researches the relevant topics to do with competition using primary and secondary research. The semi-structured interview was the tool used to gather the primary information necessary to test the hypotheses.
