Merger and Acquisitions are one of the most common occurrences in the business world. This research is contexted in the world of mergers and acquisitions in the 1980's. The research reveals the 'impact that foreign management have on mergers and acquisitions. The role of foreign actors and their importance is looked at. The enculturation of the firm with reference to mergers and acquisitions is reviewed. It is important to emphasis the very significant role of the human resource manager, leadership styles and the impact that he/he has on employees in times of change i.e. acquisitions/mergers.
Two hypotheses have been stated, the methodology chosen to elicit data was the interview. The data elicited from the interview was profiled, the hypotheses were tested and the affirmative conclusions are drawn and limitations noted.
