This research study was carried out to analyse the safety of passenger transport modes in Europe. Analyses were carried out to compare transport data available from Eurostat website (Eurostat, 2012). A number of categories and methodology for data collection, cleansing and processing were applied through out this project. The next sections of this document will describe these activities.
This document begins with this section, the introduction. It will be followed by the background section which will describe the purpose of this study. From there the document will describe the technical aspects of this study. The technical sections will describe how data was collected, analysed, cleansed, processing logic applied, the technologies used and challenges faced througout the project. The technical section will then take the reader to the conclustions section where the findings of the research will be presented. Further development or research work required following this study will be described in the section followed by conclusions. A harvard style referencing will be at the second last section. The last section will contain all appendices. The appendices will contain links to material such as the data files, database program and processing program files.
