Abstract

Clinical Engineering (CE) activities in Mexico have been done in national research institutes as well as private hospitals. This paper describes the conditions found in Mexico for the professional practice of a clinical engineer. It also deals with the description of the activities done by this professional in the Private health care sectors. A cost-effectiveness structure for a CE department is proposed.
