Crawley, Caroline (2002) What is the potential for Irish shares in the European Monetary Union? Undergraduate thesis, Dublin, National College of Ireland.
PDF (Bachelor of Arts)
European Monetary Union is more than just the introduction of the Euro it is also the creation of a huge trading zone denominated by a single currency. The emergence of Euroland is likely to be one of the major investment changes affecting Ireland in the foreseeable future. Being a country on the fringe of Europe, companies in Ireland have had to respond to many challenges over the years. The opportunities presented by European Monetary Union underline the importance more boldly than ever before as to why these companies must apply the same pioneering skills to encourage foreign investment into a shrinking domestic securities market.
